Terms and conditions

Luxury meets learning

Last updated: 20 October 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to all driving lessons, lesson packages and other services booked with KYROS Driving School, operated by George Stavroulakis, DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (“we”, “us” or “our”).

By making a booking or purchasing a lesson package, you (“the pupil” or “you”) agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking.

If you have any questions, please contact us on 07387 701784 or info@kyrosdriving.co.uk before making a booking.

1. Driving licence and eyesight requirements

Before commencing driving lessons, you must hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category you intend to drive.

In accordance with the applicable driving eyesight standards, you must be able to read a vehicle registration number plate in good daylight from:

  • 20 metres for a modern-style number plate; or

  • 20.5 metres for an older-style number plate.

You may use glasses or contact lenses to meet this requirement. If corrective lenses are necessary for you to meet the legal eyesight standard, you must wear them whenever driving.

You must also meet the applicable minimum visual acuity and field-of-vision requirements for driving.

You are required to bring your driving licence to your first lesson and present it for inspection when requested. You are responsible for ensuring that you meet the legal requirements to drive before attending each lesson.

If you cannot provide evidence of a valid driving licence, or are unable to meet the required eyesight standard, your lesson will not proceed. Where a lesson cannot proceed for these reasons, the full lesson fee may remain payable, subject to applicable consumer protection law.

For further information, please refer to the official GOV.UK driving eyesight rules.

2. Health and fitness to drive

You are responsible for ensuring that you are medically fit and safe to drive before every lesson. You must inform your instructor of any medical condition, medication or other relevant circumstance that could affect your ability to drive safely.

You must not attend a lesson under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or any substance that impairs your driving, or when illness, fatigue or another condition makes driving unsafe.

If your instructor reasonably considers that you are unfit to drive, the lesson may be refused or terminated. In these circumstances, the full lesson fee will remain payable.

3. Bookings and payment

Lessons may be booked online or directly with KYROS Driving School.

All lessons must be paid for in advance, either by card at the time of booking or through the use of prepaid lesson package hours.

Our current prices are published on the Pricing page of our website. We reserve the right to amend our prices from time to time. Any price changes will not affect lessons or packages already paid for, except where a change is agreed with you.

A booking is confirmed once the booking process has been completed and any required payment has been made.

4. Lesson packages

Lesson packages consist of a specified number of prepaid tuition hours and are subject to these Terms and Conditions.

When you book a lesson using your package balance, the corresponding number of hours will be deducted from your remaining balance.

Your available balance will be displayed through the booking system where applicable. It is your responsibility to check that you have sufficient hours remaining before booking.

Lesson package hours remain subject to the cancellation policy set out in Section 5.

5. Cancellation and rescheduling policy: 48 hours’ notice

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel, reschedule or change the date or time of any booked lesson.

This policy applies to all lessons, including individual bookings and lessons booked using prepaid lesson packages, regardless of how the lesson was booked or paid for.

5.1. Changes made with at least 48 hours’ notice

You may cancel or reschedule a lesson without charge, provided the cancellation or change is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time.

You can make changes through the booking system, using the link in your booking confirmation email, or by contacting us directly.

5.2. Changes made with less than 48 hours’ notice

If you cancel, reschedule or request a change to the date or time of a lesson with less than 48 hours’ notice, the lesson will be charged in full.

For lessons paid for using a prepaid package, the corresponding lesson hours will be deducted from your remaining balance and will not be reinstated.

For lessons paid for by card or another direct payment method, the lesson fee will not be refunded.

This policy applies even if you are unable to attend due to a change in personal circumstances, work commitments, travel arrangements or other reasons beyond your control, subject to any rights you may have under applicable law.

5.3. Failure to attend

Failure to attend a booked lesson without providing the required notice will be treated as a late cancellation, and the full lesson fee will remain payable.

5.4. Exceptional circumstances

Any exception to this policy is at the discretion of KYROS Driving School, unless otherwise required by law. We may consider exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis, but you should not assume that an exception will be granted.

Please ensure that you can attend your booked lesson before confirming your appointment. The 48-hour notice requirement allows us to manage our schedule fairly and offer appointment times to other pupils.

6. Late arrival and missed appointments

You must be present at the agreed pick-up address at the scheduled start time.

If you are not present, your instructor will wait for up to 15 minutes and attempt to contact you. If you have not arrived within this period, the lesson may be treated as a missed appointment and charged in full.

If you arrive late, the lesson will normally finish at its originally scheduled end time. The lesson fee will not be reduced, and additional time will not be guaranteed.

7. Cancellations by KYROS Driving School

In exceptional circumstances, including instructor illness, vehicle problems or unsafe weather conditions, we may need to cancel or reschedule a lesson.

We will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and offer an alternative appointment.

If we cancel a lesson and cannot provide the agreed tuition, any payment made for that lesson will be refunded in full or, where appropriate, the relevant hours will be returned to your lesson package.

We will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from a cancellation, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

8. Pick-up and drop-off arrangements

Lessons will normally begin and end at the pick-up address agreed when the booking is made, within our usual operating area in Greater Manchester.

You must provide accurate pick-up details and notify us in advance of any requested change to the pick-up or drop-off location.

Changes to locations are subject to availability and instructor agreement. Additional charges may apply where agreed in advance.

9. Conduct and safety during lessons

Lessons are provided in our dual-controlled automatic tuition vehicle, which is insured for driving instruction.

You must wear a seat belt, follow your instructor’s reasonable instructions and behave respectfully throughout the lesson.

Your instructor may suspend or terminate a lesson if your conduct is abusive, threatening, illegal or creates an unacceptable safety risk. Where the lesson is terminated because of your conduct or actions, the full lesson fee may remain payable, subject to applicable law.

10. Driving tests and use of the tuition vehicle

You are responsible for booking your theory and practical driving tests directly with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

Use of the KYROS Driving School vehicle for a practical driving test must be agreed in advance and is subject to availability, suitability and any applicable fees published on our Pricing page.

Your instructor reserves the right to decline the use of the vehicle for a practical test if they reasonably believe that you are not sufficiently prepared, that doing so would present a safety risk, or that the vehicle or arrangements are unsuitable for the test.

Your instructor may recommend that you postpone your test if you are not yet ready to drive safely and independently. The final decision to proceed with a test remains yours, subject to DVSA requirements and any applicable booking arrangements.

11. Personal information

We process your personal information for purposes including managing bookings, providing driving instruction, communicating with you and administering payments.

Further information about how your personal information is collected, used and protected is available in our Privacy Notice.

12. Amendments to these Terms and Conditions

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The applicable version will be made available on our website.

Changes will not retrospectively alter the terms of an existing booking where this would be inconsistent with our agreement with you or your statutory rights.

13. Consumer rights and governing law

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict any rights you have under applicable UK consumer protection legislation.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales where they have jurisdiction.
